EXPO EATS

OPTIONAL RECEIPTS · CUSTOMER CONSENT

Text receipts, requested by the customer.

Customers purchasing at Expo Eats concession checkout opt in directly on the customer-facing Stripe S710 reader after payment. The customer chooses a text receipt, enters their mobile number, and makes a separate affirmative consent selection.

This page documents the in-person process. It is not a website signup form and does not collect phone numbers or send messages.

How consent is collected

  1. Who: The customer requesting their own transaction receipt at an Expo Eats concession checkout.
  2. Where: On the customer-facing Stripe S710 payment reader. A cashier can start the receipt flow, including from a completed split order, but does not make the SMS consent choice for the customer.
  3. How: The customer taps Text receipt, enters their mobile number and taps Continue, reads the disclosure, then taps Text me my receipt. Entering the number alone is insufficient.
  4. Optional: No receipt, Skip, cancel, timeout or a failed input does not authorize a text. Email receipt is a separate option and does not opt the customer into SMS.
  5. Scope: One receipt per customer request; long receipts may use multiple messages. No marketing enrollment. Additional requests need a new affirmative confirmation.
  6. Records: The POS records the recipient number, order, staff session, consent timestamp and disclosure version identifying the reader-consent flow. A request identifier prevents automatic duplicate sends when a response is lost. No customer records are published here.

This campaign uses only the customer-controlled, in-person reader opt-in path. The former cashier-confirmed verbal SMS path is no longer accepted by the receipt endpoint. Public policy pages, this reference page and loyalty phone-number entry are not SMS opt-in methods.
